On February 8, Bridges Faith Initiative joined with 105 humanitarian, peacebuilding, racial justice, and faith-based organizations to call on President Biden to overhaul U.S. Civilian Harm Policies.
For decades, U.S. operations have killed thousands of civilians and lead to increased humanitarian need across the globe. Current Civilian Harm Policies lacks the transparency needed to invest claims of civilian causuality and fail to provide any meaningful accountability. President Biden must provide moral leadership and accountability by publicly recognizing the U.S. government’s role in civilian deaths and injuries. President Biden must make changes in order to promote a legacy of human rights and justice.
